The plan-to-execution method
Fuelstate is a running nutrition planner and live fueling companion for iPhone and Apple Watch. It combines your profile, planned run, conditions, supported course context, gut tolerance, and the products already in your kit into carbohydrate, fluid, and sodium targets; caffeine guidance where relevant; and a practical plan for what to pack and when to fuel.
The runner, the run, conditions, context, and selected products.
Targets become quantities, preparation, packing, and timing.
The prepared plan continues into supported live run surfaces.
One connected workflow
Fuelstate is designed around the full job a runner has to do: decide what the run requires, match that need to real products, prepare the kit, then keep the next fuel action accessible when attention is limited.
Start with the runner and the run
Fuelstate starts with the details that shape the planned effort, rather than applying one fixed interval to every run.
Build around the kit
A target is not yet a packing list. Fuelstate matches the plan to products from its catalog and custom products you add, so the strategy can reflect what you own, prefer, and tolerate.
Turn targets into a practical plan
Fuelstate turns carbohydrate, fluid, and sodium targets—and caffeine guidance where relevant—into a sequence a runner can prepare and carry.
See pre-run guidance and, where relevant, race-morning or carb-loading steps before the start.
Connect quantities to products, hydration, salt, carrying needs, and the kit that leaves with you.
Translate assigned fuel products into a cadence for the run. Production live timing currently applies to assigned fuel products.
Four delivery paths
Fuelstate can bring the prepared cue to the surface that fits the run—glanceable, actionable, hands-free, or carried into a compatible route file. These paths complement one another; runners do not have to choose only one.
See the next supported fuel cue and countdown, then use Done or Skip from the Lock Screen without reopening the plan. Availability depends on iPhone settings, permissions, and system state.
Supported countdown and fuel-now states can appear on Apple Watch with Done and Skip actions. Apple Watch remains part of a connected iPhone and Apple Watch experience.
Opt-in spoken fuel reminders can keep the phone in a pocket while connected headphones carry the cue. Delivery depends on audio settings, permissions, and the active connection.
Fuelstate creates a Garmin Connect FIT or COROS GPX route file with fuel waypoints. You share or import it; display depends on the compatible device.
Record what happened
After the run, Fuelstate can show the completed activity, nutrition totals, and whether fuel events were completed or skipped. Runners can add GI and gut feedback and review product patterns over time.
When supported workout data is available, completed distance, duration, pace, heart rate, cadence, and elevation can be reconciled with the recorded run. This review is a record of execution and runner feedback—not a medical assessment or a promise that future performance will improve.
Product transparency
Turn the information you provide into educational sports-nutrition guidance for preparation, products, packing, and fuel timing. It keeps that prepared plan accessible across supported run surfaces.
Replace a clinician, coach, or sports dietitian; diagnose a condition; guarantee cue delivery or performance outcomes; or make every feature available on every device, course, or permission state.
Fuelstate provides educational sports-nutrition guidance, not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before making changes that may affect your health.
